Tree Fall Woodshop is a 1-man custom cabinet shop. My name is Terry Branthwaite and I am that 'one man'. I'm retired from 35 years of computer programming and now doing what I love - working with wood. I started becoming a serious woodworker in the early 70's, ran a small, semi-legitimate cabinet business out of my garage in San Jose, California from 1974 to 1976 when my wife and I moved to Washington and I returned, for financial reasons, to programming. Since then I've been planning a cabinet business, learning the trade and acquiring the tools of the trade. I completed my workshop in 2002 and went into business. I'll confess right now to being very poor at selling. I would like to get to the point where word-of-mouth brings in the work and selling is unnecessary, or at least minimized. To do that, to get 'mouths' putting out the word, I'm starting out with rates that are quite competitive (please see my pricing page).

My main business is the building and installation of custom residential cabinetry. But I can also take care of many other remodeling activities such as: rough and finish carpentry, trim, wainscot and countertops (tile or formica). I work with steel too and can fabricate serious support for designs that might otherwise be too flimsy. If you have repair work, I may be able to handle that too. Don't worry about the job being too small.
